Golden hued with a hazy complexion. There’s a fingernail of dishwater white around the rim and covering most of the top. The guava aroma is pungent, but I do also detect passion fruit and oak. I taste a burst of guava, some passion fruit, and lactobacillus. The mouth is highly carbonated, crisp, and refreshing. The alcohol is well hidden.

Had this at Rare Barrel after the DIPA festival in Feb 2020.
Looks like their blonde base going on, its that color and has that 2/5" white head on top. Slightly cloudy, there are some tropical fruit additions here, guava and passion fruit I believe with a hit of ginger. Going in expecting a tropical fruit sourtooth tiger. Aroma is indeed fruit juicy.
Taste is good if not predictable, usual acidic lemon sour notes divied up with tropical fruit additions. Light bodied base out of the way. Carbonation just fine. The sour aspect is amplified as usual, probably around a 7.5/10. The alcohol isn't super noticeable but it does probably provide that extra kick acidity wise. As usual, not really any funky notes here, its a clean sour. Wood only to the effect of being lightly dry.
Its that well worn road of above average sourness, acidity and fruit additions alongside an almost non existent aspect of every other nuance a beer might have. You could pretty much drink this after any beer and it will cut through.

Poured from a bottle (no date I could find, 2019) into a Belgian glass
L: pours a beautiful light yellow with a bit of orange, nice thick white head that fades after a couple minutes but leaves a moderate ring of foam along the outside. Moderate visible carbonation if you’re staring straight down the glass, not much to see from the side
S: amazing, huge tropical punch to the face. No doubting the (I would expect) crazy amounts of guava and passionfruit that went into this. Very fresh, juicy, like a well blended smoothie or extremely tropical fruit bowl. Serious tart/sour aroma as well, cuts the fruit sweetness plays very well. Great acidity, both from the golden sour base and the fruit itself
T: follows the nose, incredible amount of fruit hitting the tongue immediately with excellent drying acidity and tartness to cut it. Again the passionfruit and guava tastes very fresh and real (not that I’d expect anything less from Rare Barrel, but still) but a tad one dimensional at first. Gains some complexity toward the middle and finish, where the base sour starts to shine and the fruit is dialed back a few notches. Medium/long finish features more of the golden sour, get a little more malty character here but the fruit sticks around open to close
F: medium/high carbonation, medium/medium- body, quite acidic, drying, full flavored but drinkable
O: a fantastic, very fruit-forward sour. If you come in with open eyes I’m not sure how you could think it’s anything other than stellar

L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had an orange / yellow color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a two inch, creamy, very long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A sweet, sour, and sharp aroma of tropical fruit, funky yeast, citrus fruit, and wood.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of yeast (present throughout, though muted by the other ingredients), a lot of citrus fruit (lemon, in particular), some wood notes (oak, in particular), and a ton of tropical fruit (passion fruit and guava). This is an incredibly sweet, powerfully sour beer. It's fruity as you can imagine, with a lot of complexity. Delicious.
F: A highly carbonated beer with a sharp, lively finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: An excellently made sour beer. Drinkable.
