Dark brown with a good head. Spicy yeast nose with some chocolate notes. Light-medium body, chocolatety and a little crispness. Tasty.

Delicious smooth porter with distinct chocolate, coffee and black cherry notes. Creamy mocha head. This is my three-season go to New Brunswick beer.

Another tasty treat from my most recent CANBIF. This beer looks on the mark, but its smell and taste combine many of the things I love in a porter. The roasted malt, coffee and Hershey's dark notes all meld together nicely. This is a tasty, rich beer, perfect for a chilly November evening.

Serving Type: 750 mL Growler
A- Pours a translucent black liquid that's a little brown around the edges. Thin but beautiful tan head that doesn't have much for retention. No lacing.
S- Roasted malt... Coffee and dark chocolate.
T- Dark Roasty coffee and dark chocolate with a subtle Belgian yeast note in the background. Nice touch!
M- Medium Mouthfeel and low Carbonation.
O- Great Porter with a beautiful Belgian flair. Interesting brew!

Had this one on-tap at the Tide & Boar in Moncton. 20oz pour served in a nonic glass.
Nice aroma that was all about the Belgian yeast, but somehow different from, say, Unibroue. Appearance was a deep brown....I never thought to hold it up to the light. Small head that dissipated quickly. Mouthfeel was probably a little thinner than I expect from a porter, but still really worked for me. Pretty lightly carbonated.
This was a very refreshing beer that combined the roasty notes of a classic London-style porter with Belgian flavours, and yet didn't come across like someone just did a half-and-half with say Fullers London Porter and Leffe Blonde. Overall I would drink this again and would try to pair it with some hearty food.
