Brew Rebellion's John Paul Jones Chocolate Strawberry Stout. 10.1% ABV.

A: About a finger and a half of cocoa cereal colored head. Black in the glass. Very dark brown in the dimple, with a red glow. Light, but steady sheeting. No lacing. Very faint inkiness.

S: Smells just like chocolate covered strawberries! Faint tobacco and dark toffee, touch of char. I was expecting it to have an artificial strawberry smell/flavor, but it does not.

T/MF: Hmm... Dark, bitter chocolate, with a touch of strawberry. Char, dark toffee, light graphite, and coffee grounds make up the bulk of the flavor profile, though. Strawberry note has a lingering perfumey quality. Quite good, actually.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle, into a Belgian tulip glass.

Pours nearly black with a big, one inch tan head that fades to a thin film on top. Subdued chocolate aroma. Dark chocolate flavor up front with some strawberry sweetness on the finish.
