Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Cereal Milk Stout

Look: Very rich and deep black, I did also notice a thin film that quickly dissipated.
Smell: Upon opening it I briefly got a smell of fruity cereal and then it just smelt like any other beer after a bit.
Taste: I detect a coffee taste and nothing reminding me of any breakfast cereal.
Feel: After taking a mouthful of this drink there is a respectable momentary kick followed by the coffee.
Overall: I feel a tad bit disappointed that I paid about $40 for the shipping of this brew that bragged about the "cereal milk" part of it only to detect nothing of that in the taste .

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pours opaque near black with a thick beige head that settles as a thin film on top and leaves spots of lace. The smell is mostly roasted malt with a hint of spice and a subtle vague fruit aroma. The taste is of roasted malt with cocoa and coffee notes. I'm not picking up any apple, cinnamon or breakfast cereal flavors. This is a solid milk stout that can stand on its own. The gimmicky addition of breakfast cereal adds nothing to the base beer.
