This brew pours black with a tan head. Aromas reminiscent of a campfire in the forest are complimented by the creamy, roasty-toasty maltiness. Notes of dark chocolate, toffee and caramel are followed up by an assertive bitterness giving a bit of roasty dryness in the finish.

Dark black with a thicky soapy head. Chocolate malt nose, a little wood smoke. Medium. malt body, a little more woody dryness. Smooth mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

A- Tallboy pours into a becher with a deep mahogany to black body. Head forms with a foamy consistency to half a finger high. Lacing with big webs around the glass.
S- Smoked malts open things up and come in with the most strength but are quickly balanced by the rest or the grains. Bacon and campfire smoke notes are big and backed by cocoa, toasted nuts, coffee, caramel sweetness and cereal. Hints of dark fruit.
T- Somehow not as rich and flavorful as the aroma suggested. The smoke is there but in general a bit subdued compared to what the aroma suggested. Fire smoke and sweet cereal notes with dark fruits, bread, coffee, toffee, toasted nuts and a hint of cocoa and roast grain. Medium sweetness and hints of caramel.
MF- Creamy and puffy medium bodied brew that comes in a bit lighter than expected. Carbonation at a moderate level and a light roasty smoky bitterness in the finish.
Bold aroma of smoke and malts leads into a lighter flavor profile that is smoky, sweet and malty.

Bottle: Poured a clear black color porter with a large brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of smoked malt is quite powerful with light roasted notes also perceptible. Taste is dominated by loads of smoked malt notes with some roasted malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Surprised by the depth of this one and a fuller body would bring this in the major league.

Poured from 650 ml bottle into lager glass. Has woody smoke aroma, a little like smoked meat. Pours completely black with tan head. Taste is medium bitter. Full bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. The flavours here are definitely a personal preference, if you like malts and a smokey aroma give it a go.
