Ceilidh Ale is our take on the Kolsch style. This style developed in Cologne, Germany in the late 1800’s to compete with the increase in pale lagers. This pale refreshing beer is a clean, crisp beer with a very subtle malt and hop character and makes a great session beer. A Ceilidh is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering, usually with traditional music in a community setting. This refreshing ale accompanied by good music and good friends is a perfect Nova Scotia pairing.

On tap at Stillwell, 4oz taster in a wine glass: Clear dark straw color. Floral, sweet grains, and lemon. Slick medium body with crispy carbonation. Light strength finish that feels more like a cream ale so it lacks complexity. Still overall a decent quality craft, the body need a bit of tweak but the flavors are nice.

Clear gold with a soapy head. Grassy, sweet cereal nose. Clean, light body. Great crispness.
