This beer has an assertive hop bitterness from the German noble hop varieties used that is well balanced by its robust, yet clean, crisp malt character.

Clear amber with smallish head. Pure malty nose. Medium body, full mouthfeel. Mild flavour with some coffee notes. Decent altbier.

A whispy, off-white head sits on top of its beautiful cherry amber body. It falls quickly with minimum lace. Its clarity is near brilliant.
Delicate but rich toasty sweetness and bread crust make for the foundation of the nose. A refined nuttiness and light chocolate note makes up its malt profile. Its hop character is kept to a minimum with just a touch of spiciness.
A mix of toastiness, caramel, honey, and faint chocolate really flesh out the taste. There's an overarching nuttiness to it as well. A great balance is achieved with the spicy and bitter floral hop character that lies beneath. Not harsh but it keeps the sweetness in check.
Light to medium bodied with a pleasantly bitter, dry finish. Every aspect is clean and rounded and wonderful.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Its malt character is delicate but has plenty of complexity. Nuttiness, toast, chocolate, caramel, and honey all come through in a clean, rounded, and approachable way with a bang on counterbalance from the floral, dry, and refined bitter hop quality.
