Rather potent red ale. For my taste buds the alcohol taste is a touch too high, masking the subtle flavors of a top notch red ale. Might not hurt to notch the ABV down a bit on this one. Still worth a try if you are at a place where it is on tap.

Tried this at a good pub in Indiana that always has a good selection of brews on tap and in bottles. The description says that it's an Imperial red ale, and I agree with that. Better than most rye based brews that I've had, decent body, not too hoppy, but enough to keep an IPA drinker interested. Not a great brew, but a damn fine effort from a fairly new brewery.

Had a sample of this from Chapman's taproom, and liked it so much I took home a few growlers worth. Great smell and flavor, and only on tap.
