A beautiful clear copper color with a dense two-inch crown of white foam on top and decent traces of lacing. The aroma is a delicate floral pine and lemon combination that provides an immediate comfort level for the American hop head like me.
Very similar flavors follow with a subtle dank cereal grain and a focus on light caramel pine with a pleasant bitterness. Tropical fruits, maybe an apricot suggestion here and there. There's a little leafy edge to it but it's all well blended and competes very favorably with American IPAs. Body is just into medium but it has a nice combination of a slight stickiness while delivering a somewhat light and crisp feel. I was pleasantly surprised by this Czech IPA. Recommended if you're homesick in the Czech Republic though not quite up to the loftiest hopes for the Pliny initiates of the US craft beer world.

On tap at Note Bene in Prague from my last trip there, reviewed from my notes.

a: Big creamy almost 2 finger head rises above the glass, fades slowly, spotted lacing, semi hazy auburn tan color.

N: Interesting hops, fruity, very fruity almost fruit punch like, little citrus, floral, then light reddish malts, hint grassy hop, very aromatic.

T: Nice fruity hops again, stone fruit and light tangerine peach fruit, hint citrus, very peachy, some put, juicy amber malts under that, little sticky syrupy and reddish malt character. Finish gets fairly bitter as it dries and the hops ramp like crazy, little spicy, fruity hops, hint of pepper too.

M: Med bod, decent fluffy carb.

O: Nice, not amazing compared to a lot of the American IPAs I have at home, but still pretty nice, a good hop character, nice malty sweet balance, just a little too syrupy and sweet.
