on tap at the brewery, Portland
Lumpy, pitted, clingy, taupe head over amber-tinged gold.
Toasted granola and sour lemon nose.
Lots of toast, salted peanuts, slight peach, kumquat, and light lemon hops.
Even more toast to end and dry, rindy linger.
Light, crisp, slight chew.
Way too toasty - hops are lost, which seems kinda dumb when you're single hopping with an experimental variety (ADHA 881). Food didn't help, either. Refreshing, but what else?
All the other beers at the table were thin and over-toasted, too - not impressed by this brewery in spite of its pedigree.
