Zenith Grapefruit Gose (pronounced Gose-uh) is a traditional German-style sour ale with a touch of coriander and salt. Our interpretation of this style includes grapefruit for a refreshing beer, perfect for springtime when the sun re-emerges above our celestial sphere

22 oz bottle purchased from Trader Joe in Salem OR
$4.49
Pours a cloudy light golden colour with a small , fast fading white bubbly head. Leaves gorgeous lace.
Salty , lemony aromas. Quite good.
Salty, zesty, red grapefruit and lemon drop flavours...finishes dry and bitter.
mouth feel very nice.
A good summer beer.

Zenith pours a nearly clear yellow. Like a dehydrated persons urine. Slightly dehydrated, not overly concerning dehydrated. A thin foamy white head barely gives a fight to stay put, as it disappears completely within seconds.
Not much of a nose. A little crushed grain, a hint of citrus, and mild salty brine.
Flavor follows in pleasant fashion. Lightly toasted sourdough bread, a flash of grapefruit zest, with a lingering salty tartness.
The feel despite it's obvious salty tartness is crisp and light. Ultimately refreshing.
This is a very easy to drink beverage with a perfect design for consumption in large quantities, especially perhaps playing a round or two of disc golf on a hot summer day. Cheers!

I had this beer on-tap in a mug at Special Brews in Lynnwood, WA.
Appearance: lightly hazy, light-gold hue with a thin layer of ivory foam and a moderate effervescence. Not bad.
Smell: wheaty, with a dash of funk and a dash of sour. Not particularly grapefruit-y, but not a bad general gose aroma.
Taste: perky and zesty with a big of grapefruit and a fair dose of zing. The mild funk is very appropriate to the style; grapefruit goes with gose perhaps a little too well -- it just kind of blends into the character that's already there. That said, it's an enjoyable gose.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: tart and refreshing, there's enough of interest going on here to keep me coming back. Worth giving a try.

Really like this. It's like a hybrid between a lambic and a sour. Maybe that's the "gose"? Nice crisp and flavorful. The grapefruit is perfect!! Not too strong or bitter but just right...

Flat out of the gates and not much on the nose. The taste follows the aroma with very little in the way of salt, coriander, or grapefruit. It was crisp. Overall it was a very muted gose.
