12oz single can from Lifesource Narural Grocer in Salem OR
$1.89
Pours a clear, bright golden colour with a large thick bubbly white head.
Sweet hay and orange peel aromas..little hazelnut.
Taste very like the aroma bur with a very nice taster of honey on the edge.
Palate s medium low carbonation and generally smooth.
A very good Blonde Ale.

Color is pale amber with a coarse froth in the tall goblet. Well, the name is interesting, but the chromosphere around the sun is supposed to be a rosy red color. Or Ecliptic could have gone with the obvious and made a black brew for the eclipse of 08.21.17.
Faint herbal aroma. Hops are listed as Amarillo and Cascade. It seems surprisingly and unrelentingly bitter and I wouldn't call it a Blonde Ale by any stretch. It's a hoppy Pale Ale. There is a woody aftertaste and not much taste otherwise. I'll save a can for the kid from Bend, but this is pretty tough stuff. From the 12 oz can purchased at Whidbey Beer Works in Oak Harbor, Wash right before the eclipse.

It says blonde ale. It has an ABV of 5.0%. I've not met many blonde ales with such low abv and when you taste it, you'll know why. It's actually an IPA.
Or maybe a West coast blonde ale? The style is wrong which is why it ranks low. Has a slight smell which usually means to me headache to come.
Oh well, if you like just a little added extra bitter, this will do you fine. If you wanted a blonde ale, try again. Of course, I just bought it for the label.
