Pours thick and cloudy, a golden straw color with a heavy head. Aroma is feint, nothing much but dankness. The taste however, is outstanding. Sweet, but not overly so. Great balance to the hops, this is just an outstanding flavor profile. The mango is done better than any other brew I have tried. Usually it tastes like cheap mango juice was poured in after the fermentation process. Not here. It blends in perfectly, noticable, but completely in harmony with the other flavors. This is an instant favorite for me. Mouthfeel is perfectly smooth. Love it.

Did anybody read the hop bill on this stuff? Azacca, Mosaic, Calypso, Simcoe, and Mandarina Bavaria. But there's a restraint too, and it doesn't taste overdosed, just complex and interesting. Pours a clear golden color with plenty of white foam in the New Belgium snifter.
Malty and on the sweet side, but all very well integrated and balanced. Even the mango is not overdone, with just a hint of that unmistakable fruitiness in the back of the throat. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham. Not the freshest, but it hasn't suffered a bit. Another wonderful concoction from one of my favorite Portland breweries.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine two finger white head that continues to build after the pour; looks nice. Aroma of mildly caramel malt, dank and citrus hops, orange and grapefruit, light tropical fruit. Flavor is light caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, mango and grapefruit with a hint of pineapple. Finishes with lingering mango and slightly resinous piney hops with some grapefruit rind. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. A very nice, light fruit IPA with the promised mango as well as pleasant citrus and pine hops. The malt leans towards a pale ale profile, but the hops are solidly in IPA territory. This came out a little late in the year, it's a very refreshing tasting IPA and would be perfect in the summer. Mango is handled deftly and allows the hops to take the fore in flavor. Nicely done. Happy fourth anniversary, Ecliptic.
