Had on tap. Somewhat cloudy yellow body with a finger of white foam. Fresh baked white bread with lemon peel and hay in the nose. Taste is sweeter with the buttery malt, lemon peel, yeasted bread and flowers finish up. Feel is clean for the style, bright, medium-light bodied, and quenching. Good lawnmower beer

L:. Pours a very pale slightly cloudy yellow, with a large fizzy white head and no lacing.
S:. Notes of fresh baked bread, toasted grain, lemon rind, some cereal, a medium floral hop.
T:. Fresh baked bread, toasted grain, lemon rind, earthiness, some cereal, a tad of onion, a nice floral hop and very slight bitterness.
F:. Light and crisp.
O:. Not the best ever, but this is a very drinkable kolsch.

Attractive clear golden yellow with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Grainy aroma with some straw. Thickish mouthfeel for such a light brew. On the malty side rather than crisp. There's a hint of something like hops but I can't give it a flavor.
This does not have the distinctive "perfumey" nose and taste of the classic Kölsch, but it's quite drinkable in the American style. It's more like a decent Blonde Ale. From the 12 oz can purchased at Pioneer Market.

Pours a clear right open yellow..nice rocky white head..leaves great lace.
Aroma of hay/straw and doughy yeast
Taste similar to the aroma..but with a bit of malt and yeast..in the end.
Mouth feel is medium and carbonation medium.
OK beer..quite boring ..not nearly as good as the german originals

Canned on Jan 2nd, tasted on Feb 6th. Light gold color, fairly clear, tight head, fades away. For the nose, you get biscuit dough, some herbal and green grass. Nice mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. It has a fairly dry taste, a bit of spice to keep things interesting along side a pleasant, but unassuming, malt backbone. I'd prefer this beer on a warm spring afternoon, but it's good even on a winter evening.
