Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Copper Kettle goblet. Aroma of cereal with a hint of something like plums. Slight sweetness is welcome along with the woody tang. The promised guava is too subtle for me to taste, but there is some faint fruit thing going on. Some astringency like fruit skins. Not actually bitter. Overall this is a better than average Blonde Ale, but the flavoring seems to be an afterthought. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Boldly stamped 02/10/26.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of guava, caramel and biscuit malt. Tasted of sweet guava, caramel and bready malt.

i love these guys and always enjoy finding the new ones out in the wild. this is light for summer, not over flavored thankfully, and a pretty refreshing blonde overall, a new twist on a tired and samey style. more than anything its cool to have the guava on its own, not all mashed up with pineapple and citrus and everything else that it always gets lumped together with. i genuinely like it without the fruit though too, a crisp and lightly but uniquely hopped blonde, crisp enough, and fun and different without being gimmicky, i could drink a bunch of these. it takes just a little pink color from the guava if i look at it right, has an herbal and lemony hop complexion thats very fresh and not at all bitter, and the bubbles really pop in here. after a few sips i find it almost underdone in terms of the fruit, like i could take more of it here, this isnt sweet at all and its so interesting and juicy, better to little than too much though with this sort of thing, and i like how its still pleasing as a blonde ale not just a fruit drink. neat take on a summer ripper here.

12oz can

Pours two fingers of fluffy white head into my can-style glass. Retention is very good so far. Initial lacing looks nice as well. Body is a very cloudy yellow-orange, lots of bubbles coming up. Looks more like a wheat than a blonde, but overall a nice looking beer so far.

Takes a second for the nose to open up, but it’s quite pleasant once it does. Guava, maybe some tangerine, a touch of sweetness. A few odd spicy notes of…jalapeno? Pretty one dimensional, but that’s to expect with a fruit beer. It’s hard to bring myself to give this category of brew a high grade, but dangit this smells refreshing.

Flavor is mostly guava, with a touch of that spice, could maaaybe be from the amarillo. I don’t mind the spice that much, and it actually compliments it more now that I know it’s probably coming from the hops. Overall a refreshing fruit beer with a little kick to balance it out. Tasty.

Mouthfeel is very nice. Carbonation is medium. Body is thicker than many blondes, certainly some heavier grains in here. Very well balance, a tad sweet, but only a tad. Bitterness is low, but shows up to remind you it’s beer – not always the case in fruit beer.

Drinkability is very high, this is light, refreshing, and tasty.

Appearance turned out killer. Retention was way above average, hanging out well over half way down the glass. Lacing was super thick.

Overall a surprisingly good beer. I forgot fruit beers can actually be good, well done.
