a light lager here done with corn and honey, ingredients common in malawi, and a beer done to raise funds for water projects in africa, pretty amazing, and a dope beer to drink on a hot afternoon at their brewery! its blonde in color, white headed from the tap, and holding very high carbonation through the whole pint. aromas of spicy noble hops meld with fresh pale malt, a pils type base and a touch of corn sweetness there, very delicate to me, some minerals and clean lager yeast present as well, perhaps slightly floral from the honey, but it marries in with the hops really seamlessly. the flavor is very clean and fresh and bright, simple beer really, without a ton from either the corn or the honey, just nuances, and nicely hopped too, its a drinker and the quality is what stands out to me, but its just different enough to distinguish itself a little bit, maybe not as dramatically as i thought it might, but i have no complaints here, the beer is expertly done and perfect for daytime guzzling, and i love the cause it is supporting. i have not really known these guys for lagers, but i was impressed with both i had while we were at the brewery. i love ecliptic!
