Picked up at a bottle shop in Colorado Springs Spring of 2025. 4 Years old already; I really need to start looking at dates closer.
The pour was promising - dark brown with what seemed to be ruby colored highlights, which is a first for me. the head was light beige and grew a good inch high which was almost impressive.
The taste had the essential chocolate and was followed by raisins, which was a surprise. The coffee seems to have faded out as did any lactose flavor. The vanilla may be the raisin or it may also have faded but not really present any longer.
The feel is thinner than expected but by no means unpleasant or off putting.
OA, would have been nice to try this when fresh, but obviously it was not to be.

i love these guys! somehow they still seem to fly under the radar. this is wonderful beer, chocolate and vanilla forward, a hint of coffee, it really does taste like the dessert, right down to the powdered cocoa on the top of it, just lovely and actually quite surprising. it doesnt pour as thick and as dark as a lot of these big adjunct forward and barrel aged imperials, more brown than black to me, even reddish in the light, just a short head from the tap, a little sediment visible too, but its also quite fizzy. the nose is sweeter than the flavor, the chocolate is the lead element but the barrel does a lot here, enhances the vanilla to me, brings the best most earthy aspects of the grain to the foreground with the oak, and i definitely get all the dessert flavors here. i love the subtle coffee, a raisin note in the middle, and the almost creaminess this has, definitely does have tiramisu vibes, might even be able to identify that even without knowing it was the goal, they did that good a job with it. it is curiously thin for what it is, surprised by the lack of body, which does make the residual sugar feel a little exposed, but still there is no sign of the alcohol really. this could be a little fuller, maybe even have a little more of a black roasted low end, but its also cool because its different from what else is out there, the oak really shines, and these flavors are quite unique overall. this is not just another desserty stout, its a really interesting and well done brew. these guys kill it, always a treat to drink their stuff, especially the rarities like this!

Brown appreciate with a slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a mild bourbon and malt. Taste is also a slightly sweet mild bourbon and malt. A little thin

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet, dark toasted malt, vanilla, caramel and whiskey. Flavor is dark, lightly toasted malt, vanilla, whiskey, caramel, dried plums and a hint of cocoa; whiskey finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. Another barrel aged stout that tastes more like a ba strong ale; lots of dark fruit and vanilla and more tame in the chocolate and coffee character. Quite whiskey forward, overwhelming the vanilla tiramisu flavor. That being said, it is quite flavorful and fun to drink. I was impressed with the vanilla and coffee notes in the base Sedna, but the coffee is far in the background here, although vanilla is a clear flavor. Not quite as tiramisu as the original, but a fine whiskey aged milk stout.
