In collaboration with Russian River Brewing Company, this Belgian-style Golden Ale was aged for 11 months in Pinot Noir barrels with Brettanomyces. The result is a slightly tart, fruity yet wild, complex beer.

1 pint 0.9 oz. bottle. 8.3%. Sample from the brewery. Rescued from the back of my beer fridge.
Brewed in collaboration with Russian River Brewing Company, this Belgian-style Golden Ale was aged for 11 months in Pinot Noir barrels with Brettanomyces. I love Ecliptic and Russian River, and aging beer in wine barrels, so I'm stoked to check this one out...
Decanted into a BeerAdvocate Teku. Straw-golden with a touch of chill haze (clears up as the beer warms) and a thin foamy, white lace. Tons of Brett in the nose with some medical, herbal, oak, fruity wine, and lime zest. Bright, light, and tart with a nice carbonation bite. Round, balanced, and vinous fruitiness. Black cherry and raspberries come to mind. Soft acidity. Getting a hints of fermented honey too. Bready, dry, clean finish.
Delicious. Vibrant. Refreshing. I love this beer!
