Noble hops compliment this balanced pilsner. Finishing crisp & refreshing, Pyxis is our spin on this classic German-style larger.

Excellent beer if you find it! It’s literally a strong lighter beer full of taste.

Clear golden hued body; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick, white head, densely foamy and long lasting. Low-key nose; soft biscuit and cracker; slightly sweet with fine esters in the background; melon. Nice malt flavor with a good dash of hop bitterness; hint of honey; a hint of peppery spiciness. Medium body; slightly coarse on the palate; mild residual sugar feel; finishes with a touch of dryness.

A pleasant enough American pilsner that doesn't disappoint yet doesn't have any special 'wow' factor.

Clear yellow gold color with bubbles streaming in the Hopleaf goblet. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel. An interesting grainy, cereal taste followed by the leafy hops. Maybe some bread with the touch of sweet 'n' yeasty. But the following flavor is all resiny, herbal, oversteeped green tea. Seems too bitter for the modest amount of flavor. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 12/22/21.

12oz can

Pours a finger of dense white head into my hourglass. Retention is not bad, and a nice sliver of head remains after a couple of minutes. Initial lacing looks pretty good. Body is yellow, crystal clear, with a small amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty nice so far.

Nose has nice notes of graham cracker and bread, backed up by grassy, spicy noble hops. Well balanced, and pretty aromatic for a Pilsner. Only negative I can think of is that it’s not coming across very bright or refreshing. Overall a very nice aroma though.

Yeah definitely not a very bright pilsner. The malt comes across in an odd way, almost a little bit caramelized, I don’t love it. I mean I suppose this isn’t too far off, but it’s definitely lacking hoppy balance. Very neutral flavor overall

Carbonation is somewhat high. Body is very light. Sweetness and bitterness seem to come and go, starts off sweet with that malt coming through quite a bit, bitterness comes out as it warms. Overall the mouthfeel is fine, though it’s often unbalanced.

Drinkability is ok, but the highs and lows of sweetness and bitterness make things inconsistent. It’s also watery at times.

Appearance turned out ok, lacing was very minimal.

Overall things just don’t work all too well here. It’s often unbalanced, watery at times, and there isn’t a whole lot of flavor at any point. Nothing horrible, it’s still a craft beer with no off flavors, but its cohesiveness is all over the place.

Look: Clear light yellow with a fast-forming head that billows up and slowly recedes to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Floral hops, soda crackers, pilsner malt, some grassy notes, and a light honey-like sweetness
Taste: A floral bomb kicks it off with madrone, meadowsweet, and cherry laurel amongst others and quickly followed with pilsner and cracker-like malt. Grass and honey go back and forth throughout and closes with more flowers, crackers, and grass
Mouthfeel: Light but full, medium-high carbonation, very clean and crisp throughout and on the finish too, along with light dryness
Overall: I dig it. As both an huge Pilsner fan and an Ecliptic fan, I was stoked to hear they were going to package one and it is winning. A tasty and well-made German Pilsner that checks all the right boxes for me and is quite tasty and refreshing as well

classically styled, brilliantly executed, this is the kind of lager i would expect from these guys, awfully well refined, a little hoppier than many, and super darn drinkable, very well done here. great balance from the somewhat more flavorful grain profile than a lot of these have, never sweet at all, but certainly crackery, bready, baked, earthy, and organic seeming, simple but right. the hops have strong grassy notes, both wet and dry, a light weedy herbal layer, and good peppy bitterness setting in around the middle of this, lasting through the finish. the yeast is the most european part of this to me, classic and familiar, patiently lagered, fermenting down to dry, crisping up even the deepest malt notes, and clearing room for the hoppy finish. good attention to detail here, everything seems very intentional, and its just distinct enough to be recognizable in a crowd of these. slightly bolder than average, but really crushable too thanks to the effervescence and fast finish. lovely beer, four season lager, international but also american, old worldy but also timeless, just really nicely done. execution on point. i love these guys.

Had on tap. Murky golden body with a finger of sudsy off-white foam. Grassy hops sit atop a bed of white bread, pilsner malt, a drop of honey, and grains in both smell and taste. Body is crisp, clean for style, yeast and hops balance very well, dries as you go through the sip. Classic. The wife liked it
