Look: Reddish brown on the pour and quickly builds up a nice light tan head that holds well and leaves great lacing coating the glass
Aroma: Fresh baked brown bread, dark fruit notes, melanoidin, light wafts of earthiness, and some caramel
Taste: A huge, sweet bready dark malt punch opens it up and quickly followed by waves of dark fruit – raisins, dates, dark figs, and dark cherries among them. Earthy notes and melanoidin become noticeable after and closes with tons of bready malty depth and some caramel
Mouthfeel: Full, extremely clean throughout, medium-high carbonation, and soft on the finish with no detectable ethanol heat
Overall: This is one delicious Doppelbock. I love what these folks do and when I’d seen this being stocked up at a local, I made the mental note to score it upon future visits and needless to say, I did and it was the right decision. A ton of bready dark malt flavors paired with some nice and expected dark fruit in harmony and with a solid feel and very well hidden ABV. What’s not to like? If you dig Doppelbocks, give this one a go

16oz can (date unreadable) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured translucent, lightly cloudy, reddish brown color with an inch of light khaki head that had good retention and moderate lacing.
Rich, sweet malts had the front of the nose, with a bit of floral hops, a slight touch of yeast, and a light alcohol scent were in the background.
Fairly similar profile on the tongue, but it wasn't as sweet as the aroma had led me to expect.
The body was a touch lighter than anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. It was smooth and even, with a semi-sweet finish that dried out after a few moments.
Drinkability was very nice, I'm probably gonna grab a couple more cans of this.
Overall, another fine and enjoyable brew from these guys. Grab it if you see it.
