Ecliptic Brewing and Hawaii’s Maui Brewing have paired up to create a Cosmic Collaboration brew. The fifth release in this series for 2023, Bay Breeze Pineapple IPA will ship in early to mid-August, both in 16-ounce cans and draft.
Ecliptic + Maui Bay Breeze Pineapple IPA starts with a Pale Malt base and is hopped with Sabro, El Dorado and Chinook. A good dose of pineapple puree, along with delicate coconut bring a big tropical vibe to this easy drinking IPA. Clocking in at 6.5% ABV, this is an ideal summertime brew, best enjoyed with a breeze.

Received a 16 oz can via trade with @muchloveforhops3 on 10-25-23. Canned ??-21-23; consumed 2-13-24.
Beer poured hazy golden orange with a nice white head.
Nose is nice as the pineapple adjunct is kind of too much.
Taste is kind of all over the place as the lighter malt base showcases the pineapple immediately with the first sip giving an additional sweetness with the coconut appearing in post sip aspirations. Hops used are pineapple forward with the alpha acids coming across as aggressive; bitterness is 8/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.
Overall a solid beer that gives the imbiber a taste of the islands!
