16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/22/2016. Pours hazy dark orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a lot of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange zest, light pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange zest, light pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Light dryness from bitterness, that increases through the glass to a slight lingering hop astringency. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.6%. Overall this is a good English IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Hop character felt a bit dull, but had nice complexity; and this was still quite enjoyable.
