Handle with care, it's bottle conditioned and unfiltered. ps. that said, there isn't THAT much sediment to leave in the bottle with this one.
L- Dark amber with an almost orange hue, or that might just be the light in this room. Veeery slightly hazy, as most of the minor sludge is left in the bottle. Pours with 1Cm super-fine off-white head, holds well and leaves some lacing.
S- I get some mild fruity notes.
T- Quite prominent hops and there is a distinct fruit note. I can't place it, the lable suggests blackcurrent and maybe that's it.
F- Carbonation in the mouth is very good. It has a decent meaty Feel for 4.9%. Refreshing but satisfying in cooler months too.
O- Nothing out of balance, nothing obviously wrong = a good start. More significantly when considered overall it's very satisfying, it could be sessionable if you like hoppier/trad beers with presence.
500ml bottle BB: May 2020. £3 from St. Augustine's Abbey in Canterbury.
