My first 'Real Ale' (Cask Ale) poured for me at the 'Volunteer Inn' in Chipping Campden, UK.
Served Cellar Temperature (well, warmer than my cellar).
Light on substance, and flavor. Or perhaps American craft beers have ruined my appreciation for a subtle, traditional ale.
It tasted fairly bright and crisp, and a little too 'thin.' It was actually very drinkable in volume for this reason.
A good way to start my hike on the Cotswold Way. I look forward to trying more 'Real Ales' along my hike and will rate them when I can.

Cask. Pale amber. Light and wispy lacing.
Smells of light lemon biscuit and this is reflected in the flavour.
Rather flat with a light feel.
Insubstantial but welcome nevertheless after a long walk around Oxford.
