Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours semicloudy orange yellow with a small white head. Smells of citrus fruit, inviting. Tastes of creamy citrus and some tropical fruit. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

My wife picked me up a mini growler when shopping with my son l;ast weekend. I was excited to try this previously unknown southern MD brewer.
It looks decent but was underwhelming with the hops and was more like a mild pale ale. These guys need to fire up the hops a bit more next time. I'm keeping the cool little jug, but otherwise, this is a pass.

Poured from the bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Lots of noticeable trub in the bottom of this bottle.
Creamed two finger head, slightly khaki and light white yellow in color. Some pill and ring lacing with some good retention also. Body color is a bit murky. Slightly orange and a bit of red like grapefruit. Some very fine carbonation is noticeable and creeps up slowly.
Small hints of orange zest with a nice bit of sweetness accenting by hops. A touch of lime is in here as well which make for a nice change of pace. Faint hint of vanilla kicks in as well. A bit subdued for an IPA but pretty nice otherwise.
Palate really kicks in on the bitterness. Sharp hints of hop and spicy in the mid palate. Ripping pine and lots of astringency as well. Some of the malt kicks this down luckily to tame things, otherwise it would be a real chore to get this down. A real hot spice and herbal quality, can barely see this coming as well. Excellent drying pine aftertaste and very peppery. Luckily manages to be in control and not painful on the tongue a faint bit of orange and some slight caramel are able to pull this back down to earth. A nice hop woody pine that really lingers after the swallow… nearly minty too.
This is not a fruit bomb by any means, but is certainly one big hop punch. Rather dig it but this isn't going to be for everyone.

Solid IPA in the east coast style
While my tasted in biased / tainted by the west coast style IPAs, I appreciate a good east coast style offering. For my pallet, the east coast style in more malt based rather than hopped.
This is a solid brew. The small scale brewing (I assume) should be appreciated and sought by those who pass through the region.

I would make this my regular if their Carmelite wheat wasn't an amazing hefeweizen.
