Light, blond color. Fruity, effervescent aroma. Sour taste of lemons. Very carbonated. Didn’t really taste like beer…just carbonated, slightly alcoholic lemonade.

This pours a medium amber color into my glass and I'm already asking questions. No head at all, not even a cap. Nose is sour malt and a touch of noble hops. Doesn't look or smell blond.
Watery in texture and simple wheat and barley flavors but nothing terribly good. I understand supporting the locals, but I need more results.

12 oz bottle into a wine glass.
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden color. The head is less than a finger high, with a white shade. Even with what little head there is, retention isn't impressive, nor is much lacing left on the glass. In addition, while I like the TASTE of unfiltered brews, they tend not to look too good. Case in point. (2.5)
Smell: Like many beers from this brewery, it doesn't really pop on the nose. There are touches of white bread, and the vaguest hint of citrus. And that's it. Statistically, we're 0 for 2 here... (2.5)
Taste: Good news, everyone! The actual taste is much better. It starts off with notes of white bread and vanilla (wha?! Sure, why not...), and the back end is lightly citrusy. Just lightly, though. While it's pretty average, I do like aspects of this beer - it almost reminds me of a decent hefeweizen or witbier. (3)
Mouthfeel: The crispness and lightness of an unfiltered beer is unbeatable in my opinion. This, though, seems unusually rich and heavy. Really, this is quite substantial for a beer south of 5%, and that fact is 'aided' by its mild carbonation. This makes it seem rather flabby when taking the subtlety of the flavor profile into consideration. I will give it some credit, though: it IS pretty refreshing. (2.75)
Overall: I firmly believe it's better to be bland than bad. This isn't the latter, but it's definitely the former. There's nothing I truly hate about this beer, it just needs a good bit of tweaking. If it had a lighter mouthfeel and a bolder nose (while we're at it, maybe a bit more in the way of citrusy hops), this one could be quite good. Right now, though, it's hard to recommend. (2.75)
2.8/5: Keep tweaking this recipe, Mully's: there is a good beer waiting to come out

Poured a deep yellow to light amber in color, into 16 oz pub glass at 40 degrees (as the label suggests). A bit more hazy than expected with a subtle head that grew to about 1/4 inch and dissipated quickly, leaving a nice layer of foam that laced the glass. Citrus was immediately evident in the nose--the word "bright" came to my mind. And yet the flavor was surprisingly more complex. Rich mouthfeel with a very subtle malt body and soft citrus to spicy hops that provided a nice bitterness with a hint of spice, banana and vanilla in the aftertaste. Leaned almost to a witbier or hefeweizen in that respect, though without the slickness of wheat. Very clean and refreshing. No off flavors. I'll enjoy this six pack from Old Line (Beltsville) and look for more styles to try. Thanks to CM for the recommendation. I'll have to stop by the brewery next trip down Rt 2.
