Visited on March 30, 2022, during a business trip to North Virginia. Small place in an industrial area, but there are more tables outside for nice days. It was a very informal atmosphere, and only a few patrons when I arrived in a Wednesday evening. I appreciated the many signs to show how to get there once I was on Davis Dr.

Good variety of beer for sale on tap and in cans, with a nice mix of different types of beets. I tried one stout and one IPA at the bar, and they were all fresh and tasty.

No food served inside, but believe they have food trucks on other days.

When ordering our beers, the bar tender was very friendly. He shared insights into the various beers on tap, and gave me a sample to help me decide on my selections. I asked a lot of questions, which he gladly answered. I bought some 4-packs of some of their other beers to try later.

The facility is small size and clean. It has a retro look, and there were some games to play as well. Again, the facility was not very busy on a Wednesday.

Nice vibe, good service, and good beer. I would visit again when I am in the area.

Selection/quality: Beers are smooth. About 20 beers on tap - I think up in house. I think some food but very limited (they listed some Peruvian food behind the counter but my guess was it was close by & they would bring it over).

Vibe: good but not great: NFL games on but not much of a crowd mid Sunday afternoon.

Big improvement possible: if they built a paved path from the W&OD trail right next to them, they would be way more accessible for cyclists who tend to be a significant share of customers to the breweries point the trail.

Visited on a weeknight. Almost empty.

V - A cavern of a place, with picnic tables and wifi. No bar, more of a counter to place order and then take your beer back to your table. Could be cozier. 4.0

Q - At the source, making and selling some very popular beer.

Ser - No table service. No bar. I need to get up and stand in line every time I need a beer? 3.5

Sel - Typically has multiple Grimms on tap, but overall the selection can be unexpectedly narrow, with a over abundance of hoppiness. Not a bad thing, but I don't always want an IPA. 4

Our group stopped here to try the beers. Before I arrived I did not realize that this is a contract brewery, but this review will reflect scoring of the beers as if they were recipes of this brewery because only one beer on tap carried the Beltway name. The brewery is located in an industrial park setting, and the taproom follows accordingly with a wide open space and a concrete floor. The walls were finished but it still has that industrial flavor because of the high ceiling and the brewing equipment being visible. A large overhead door opens to a patio area. Beer is ordered at a serving counter because there is no bar. Free popcorn is available as a snack. A TV is on the wall behind the taps.

There were 11 beers available so we chose to order 6 sampler-sized glasses to evaluate their beers. Each was brewed very well to style, and we especially liked the 1776 Rye Aged Brown and the Passion Dome Sour. Close behind was the Capslock Pale Ale. We gave the beers an overall grade of a B. It would have been nice to try the other 5 beers, but we had other breweries to visit that day. Perhaps when we return to this area we will make a return trip. This brewery is very worthy of a visit.

Visited with a couple of friends. Pretty dead while we were there on a Saturday afternoon but lots of games including three foosball tables. I was happy to get to try 6 Grimm beers at $2 per 5-oz sample pour. I'm surprised it wasn't busier for the chance to drink Grimm on draft, and they've been making Grimm here for years.

- contract brewer. Not a lot of selection. Great live music. Not dog friendly. Fun place!
