Picked this up recently at Cable Beverage in New York, as I never had anything from Bridge and Tunnel before and wanted to give it a go because it was local to where I used to work and I enjoyed the hip-hop theme of the label. Although this wasn't as bad I anticipated based on what I saw on here, I would *never* guess that this was a Milkshake IPA as the sweetness wasn't really there an neither were any fruit flavors that would have made this more pleasant on the palate.

This had a deep amber hue to it that was quietly radiant and full of carbonation with a sufficient head that topped it off evenly. Plenty of carbonation bubbled up as I poured this out and continued to do so as I let this sit as it reminded me of a Pilsner. That was true in the taste as well, which would have been fine *if* this was that kind of beer but of course, it wasn't. At least this left behind a nice web of soapy lacing but the appearance was all this had going for it as there hints of deep tropical fruit, muddled sweetness, and overt malt in the nose as the taste was like lemon pledge and herbal tea combined, minus the spice. Somewhat dour and reminiscent of bread, this was fine as something to unwind with but nothing like anything that I've had from Tired Hands or the like...

It was probably for the better that the alcohol was low as it didn't detract from getting a read on this anomaly of a beer. Too much El Dorado and Azacca made this heavier than it should be as it was very tough to detect the flaked oats and lactose sugar there were listed on the label. I'm all for breweries that are giving it a go in The Big Apple but this needed to go back to the drawing board for another go-around. No date on the bottom of the can didn't help either although there wasn't any sediment to be seen at any time with this. This could have been great with some tweaking but at least it was balanced and finished clean, which only made it more difficult to figure out what to make of it. Might need to swing by here the next time I'm in Bushwick and Ridgewood...

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color. It poured with a finger high dense white head that has excellent retention properties and hardly died down.
S: Light aromas of pear and stone fruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but is a bit stronger and has additional hints of lime. Little to no bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aroma and taste of this IPA seem to be muted. The only thing that's really comparable to a milkshake IPA is the lack of bitterness in the mouthfeel.

tall can direct from the source yesterday. No canning date info that I can see.

Pours straight hazy, off white froth, and extensive sheeting left all over the glass.

Dank, tropical notes all over the sniff.

Tasty, tropical , dank, herbal, smooth, fresh and flavorful.....worthy NEIPA from the heart of Queens...well worth a try

-pale, hazy can pour, hosts a 2 cm foam cap. - ( no “ milkshake “ aspect). The aroma is faint with lemon present.
The flavor includes some citrus and malt, nothing notable. The finish is clean.
I have been to the brew-pub many times. This is not their best offering.

This is not an IPA, let alone milkshake or NE IPA. This is barely drinkable homebrew with bad taste, no carbonation, and odd color. A no-name beer from a dive bar tastes better than this.
