On tap at the brewery. Opaque black with a thin brown head. Faint vanilla smell. Medium and creamy feel. Tastes of roasted malts and shellfish with a bitter finish. Very good!

A slick dark blackish-brown body is topped by a thin tan collar settling to a swirly mocha froth.
Smell is really roasty and nutty, almost smoky, but with a cola twang. A funky shellfish mud aroma actually does emerge as it warms, really exuding a character of New Orleans Stout, if ever there was one--and I really don't think there is...that is, until now.
Taste adds cocoa to the same notes found in the smell, with bitter coffee and a touch of sassafras.
The full body has a creamy froth but a dry dusty finish that's a little sharp, with an almost red fruit running in there.
