Enjoyed right when the Courtyard opened the morning before Iris paraded down St. Charles. I was the only one in the place, other than the 2 nice bartenders. Had this for my walking beer back to the parade site. A collaboration with District Donuts
A: Blackish brown with no head that I could find. Light lacing.
S: Semi sweet chocolate, cocoa, donuts, decadence.
T: Holy shit, this is probably the wrong beer to drink at 11:15 in the morning, but what a start to the day. Rich, robust, chewy and bold. Chocolate and cocoa meet bready donut-y malts with a sweetness that rivals Even More Jesus. The taste goes on and on as I walked 8 blocks back to my friends. The warmer, the better.
M: Heavy with medium to heavy carbonation. Chewy and robust.
O: Glad I snuck in to try this exquisite stout. A variation on I Know Because You Know with more sweetness. 11.2% of heaven. No needs for beads. I already caught my "throw". Great stuff, Scott!
