On tap at the source. Bright yellow and slightly turbid. Generous and frothy white head that clung to the glass. Tropical aroma with earthy notes. The taste was similar. Tropical fruit but less so, with some white wine and chalky flavors/feels. Fairly soft feel with a firm bitterness. Medium bodied and carbed. Overall a nice representation of the style.

they had a bunch of these hazy ipa types going when we visited the brewery, and this one seemed to me just a little less refined than the best of them, extremely thick and cloudy, a sort of dull look to it, and despite an inch of fluffy head, it looks only somewhat appealing to me at this density and luster. aroma is great, heavy dry hop obviously, but with a neat cereal support structure too, starchy, earthy, and dry, but substantial enough to hold up all these hops. what i like about the flavor is that the juiciness of the aroma comes through unimpeded, but it also has a bitter bite to the finish, so many of these lack that, and this is almost grippingly intense to finish. melon and citrus and pineapple notes from the hops, some mosaic i would think both others as well for sure, lemon curd and orange zest later on, pine before the bitter, its got a lot of hop flavor and all of it comes in waves, really neat trajectory. the critique here is that this in no way needs to be this heavy feeling, half the haze and weight would suffice for sure, it slows me own and extends the beer in a way it doesnt seem to want to be. a bit more refinement and this would really pop, as the hop profile is excellent. dubbed as a "hazebro ipa" on their menu, i wonder if this was brewed to be ironic. either way, its tasty but lacking the dialed in character of some of their other beers in this style...

Very cloudy making it look like a caramel milkshake. Nice lasting head. Minimal lace considering.

Grapefruit rind and passion fruit aroma. Mild pale malt takes a backseat here.

Very much a New England styled IPA. Strong warming alcohol with a solid pale malt base. Fruity and citrusy finish. Full bodied with a muted carbonation level. Long tropical aftertaste without a great deal of bitterness.
