Hazed IPA orange with hardly any head to speak of. This is possibly because of the almond, but I’m not sure how the almond was added.
Very sweet aromas. Candied orange, definitely some holiday spice (there’s also allspice in it), white grape juice, and it turns a little funky dank.
Spice dominates initially, almost turning sour and dragging us to holiday seasonal territory before lurching away to more hazy IPA territory. In the end though melon, orange juice, and passion fruit lose this fight handily and it’s just an odd collection of flavors.
Full, slightly chewy body with an appropriate punch of carbonation.
I absolutely appreciate the creativity, however I’d say spices, especially holiday related, should be carefully considered before addition to IPAs.
