Tulip at the brewery.
Opaque with red edges. Just some brown bubbles on the edge.
60% cacao chocolate, wafer candy, chocolate milk, roasted almonds, a little red berry and oak.
The maple hits you like the Canadian express. Any normal stout flavors are an afterthought. Some vanilla lingers, cocoa is in the background, but this could benefit from some barrel or just straight aging.
This is a slippery beast with slight carbonation.
The divide between the aroma and tast surprises me for its vastness. The maple is good, but it is too dominant.
