Lightly hazed dark amber to copper red with a short khaki head settling to an uneven collar.
More barleywine than the barleywine, this BA wheatwine exudes all kinds of caramels and Werther's over a little barrel wood and some char accompanied by a hint of pine.
Smoothly viscous, but not heavy, a light prick counters the sticky swallow.

A barrel aged version of the Old Sleepyhead wheatwine. Darker in color, with no head to speak of. Darker in flavor, too, more molasses and brown sugar, with additional vanilla from the bourbon barrel and a slightly heftier mouth feel.
