"Belgian Stout." 6% ABV. On-draught at the brewery for $6 a pint.
Medium-bodied and smooth. Cacao nibs, cocoa powder, dark malt sweetness, maybe a scintilla of dark fruit. Not real Belgian in terms of yeast profile, nor real stout (i.e. it isn't boldly flavoured).
A drinkable basic stout. I'd rather buy a $10 sixer of really any widely distributed stout from a reputable brewery... where's the roasted barley, the brewers' chocolate, the coffee-like bitterness, etc? Very no-frills and disinteresting.
