An old barn converted into a brewery. Have some work to do but as to date, the best brewery in the Finger Lakes region. I have been to many. Their selection is fantastic and have a great rotation of beers, so if you only visit this establishment yearly, there is always fresh choices to make. The view of Lake Keuka is beautiful. Plenty of room for large gatherings. Totally pet friendly.

Pretty cool place. The building is an old barn that they've done some minor updating to in order to make it a brewery and tasting room. There's a deck with tables to enjoy your beers with a view of the lake. Overall its a great stop in the Finger Lakes to sit down and have a pint or a flight.

Absolutely gorgeous view with great service and selection. They put on great events too! The only thing that would make Abandon better is serving food all the time, not just at events.

Stopped by during a Finger Lakes Beer Safari trip. Had heard great things, and had enjoyed the beers I had tried in area bars.
Rural brewery building with farm land normally dedicated to grapes and wine making. Instead here we see hop bines and stores of grain.
Cool brewery/tasting room with lots of room, plenty of beer choices and friendly brewers/bar staff.
Able to get pints or samplers. Growlers were flying put the place with a regular line of people happy to get some fresh beer to their homes.
Very promising brewery, and a good fun place to try them out...or just kick back and sip a few pints with good people.

The brewery is in an old barn with a large deck overlooking Seneca Lake. There was a sizable crowd on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They had about 15 beers on tap with four high gravity Belgian. No food.

I have loved this place since it opened, and I encourage anybody who has not visited recently or at all, to visit again. Things are always changing. There are now 18 taps, 17 of which are beer, 1 is a N/A root beer. I have yet to find a brewery/bar/tasting room etc. with an atmosphere as cool as this place. Early 1800s barn with beer and a great view of Keuka Lake. How could you go wrong? Best beer in the area as well. Not that others nearby are bad, these beers are just on another level. Things that would make this place better: food, background music, more up to date beer lists for customers to take to their tables.

visited on a Saturday afternoon in August.
the taproom is in the refurbished barn, with the bar, some tables, and a music stage on the main level. the brewhouse is downstairs. they've got a deck overlooking Keuka Lake. Beautiful . They had 10 "regular" beer on tap, and 3 of their "Woodshed series". You can get sampler flights of 4 of the regular beers, or all 3 of the high abv beers. You can also get pints and growler fills.
I worked my way through 11 of the 13 beers via 3 flights. The beers ranged from good to great, not a bad one in the bunch. Mostly focused on Belgian styles, but something for everyone. Bartenders friendly and helpful.

Amazing old barn in the middle of the Finger Lakes wine country. The building actually sits in the middle of a vineyard. I went on Memorial Day 2014 and there was a food truck set up outside selling Italian food. A band played inside and the crowd was lively. Had my son with me and the guy at the tasting/growler bar hooked him up with a root beer while I made my decision on what beer to take home. Went with the Farmhouse IPA and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and price. $16 for a 64 ounce growler (including the growler). The view from the deck is amazing. Go there as soon as possible.

This place is what a farm brewery should be. Beautiful atmosphere, incredible selection and the finest quality. These guys aren't just putting out the usual range of unmemorable beers. They're constantly trying new things.
Abandon is far and away my favorite central New York brewery.

Visited Abandon yesterday with my girlfriend in our post Valentine's beer and wine road trip. An excellent stop for sure.
It's on a hill overlooking beautiful Keuka Lake, in an old barn they renovated. The feel of the place outside and inside favorably reminded me of Hill Farmstead- a rustic down home feel with beautiful vistas.
The tasting bar is beautiful, about 10-15 seats. They had 6 beers on tap when I went- 4 standards (Session Saison, Belgian Rye, Pale Ale, Farmhouse IPA) and 2 of their Woodshed Series (Double IPA and Quad). Tried them all, and they were all tasty. The Session Saison is 3.6%, so tastes pretty simple, but they manage to pack some great earthy taste into such a low ABV. The Farmhouse IPA was my favorite by far, snagged a growler of it on the way out. The beers have a lot of potential, for sure. Already tasty, and could become even tastier with more work.
Really nice people pouring too, great service for sure.
Prices were alright. $5 to taste the 4 standards was pretty standard, $3 each to taste the Woodshed series, which seemed a little pricey. Growler fills were reasonable for the standards, and pricey for the Woodsheds ($20 for a 32oz fill is incredibly expensive, IMO). You could get pours to drink there too, as well, beyond the tastings. $4 for a half pint/$6 for a pint of the standards, and $8 for 12 oz of the Woodsheds.
This place was great. Only complaint is the pricing on the Woodshed series. They don't have food at the moment, but they said they are looking into having guest food services as they don't want to do it themselves.

Great place to visit if you like great beer and you are in the Finger Lakes area of New York. Brewery and tap room is located in a restored barn overlooking Keuka Lake just above Keuka College. View is spectacular and the brewery also overlooks a horse farm.
Grand opening was in Nov 2013, I had made 2 visits so far and enjoyed all the beers I have tried, with the best beers noted below:
