my favorite of the beers we tried here. an unfiltered pils, and a very drinkable one at that despite it having just a little more body than most. its only lightly hazy, still really radiant in the glass, with a short white head and lots of bubbles, not as thick as some of these i have seen. aroma is fresh crackery german pils malt, simple and easy, summery to me, but that might be the beautiful setting here influencing the vibe a bit! what a spot! its extremely conservative on the hops, which would be my only real critique of this, i like what little hop profile is here, and to ramp it up a tad i think would be to make a more compelling and dynamic brew, its a bit one dimensional as it is, and more of these fresh grassy noble type hops would really set it off, at least for my palate. the lager yeast does its thing, bready but clean in the end, the beer is just short of crisp to finish, on the dry side and with good carbonation, but not crackling dry, a little longer finish. a light floral note to the yeast as well, nice with the fresh pale malt. overall a solid beer, easy drinking, especially in a place like this, and super cool to see two pilseners on at one brewery, very uncommon in this day and age! well done overall.
