This delicately-hopped cream ale is easy drinking. A healthy dose of flaked maize gives it a drier finish, leaving you wanting another sip.

Clear, clean yellow gold color with a small, quickly disappearing white cap.
Aroma of clean grain mixed with sweet malt. Little else save a touch of grassiness.
Full, round taste of grain with a noticeable sweetness. The grain flavors (I'm presuming there;s more than one grain or adjunct) are so well integrated I can't tell where malt stops and others start. Taste is simple but clean as a whistle with just enough hops to balance things out.
Full texture with a touch more carbonation than it needs. An more direct pour will fix that.
Easy, unassuming, unaggressive brew that won't challenge the palate and will go well with a variety of food styles. I'm thinking Thai for some reason.

12 ounce can. Pours a clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Taste is sweet malt, grain, and a bit of grass. It is labeled (and is) a cream ale. On the sweet side, but very drinkable.

A: Pours a clear pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint straw yellow + pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a small patch of very thin film and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of pale + cereal grain malts with light to moderate amount of corn adjuncts and a light to moderate amount of grainy sweetness. Hints of grassy hops.
T: Upfront there is a just shy of moderate flavors of pale + cereal grain malts with light to moderate amount of corn adjuncts and a light to moderate amount of grainy sweetness. Light flavors of slight smokiness with a hint of iodine. Finally there is a hint of grassy hop flavors which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly.
M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a slight hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Interesting with the hint of subtle smokiness. I could easily have a couple of these.

It is a very dark saison. Tastes like smoked coffee, like if you mixed a coffee-flavored stout and an IPA. A little too thin, but that might have been because it was the growler. Very little head, probably for the same reason. When it was poured into the growler bottle it had an average-sized creamy yellow head.
