Here comes The Judge! Here comes The Judge! Order in the court 'cause The Judge is in the building! You've been summoned to enjoy a chocolate-vanilla porter made with roasted cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla. This very judicious offering balances roasty malt notes with hints of vanilla and cocoa. It has a solid body and holds a great head at 6 percent ABV. So put on your Sunday best because The Judge's court is in session and there will be no objections.

Had on tap at the brewery
On arrival nearly 2 fingers of khaki head was present, and it gradually receded to a thin covering and decent ring. The body is nearly a solid black.
Aroma is a nice roasty, chocolatey barley, that almost makes me think of espresso beans with some cream.
Taste falls a bit flatter than the aroma, and this is more like a black coffee. There is a sweetness up front that is quickly replaced by a light roast bitterness, and black coffee flavor.
Feel is full and mouthcoating. A nice armchair feel. Long finish, medium high carbonation.
Overall this is a decent porter. It kind of feels like it wants to be a cross between a porter and an Irish dry stout.
