Yields a slightly hazed, bright orange color, with a half finger broad head. The head leaves back a fluffy, bubbly coating among the glass.
Very fruity on the nose with fresh squeezed lemon among riper orange and a whiff of mango, balanced by cakey malts, which leave the focus on the hops throughout. Offers a nice dankness, adding an aroma of wet grass to the beer, enhancing its citrus appearance very effectivly. The nose is extremely well composed, focused, while it remains a nice depth, centered around a fantastic hoppiness with just the right amount of malts, to enhance and balance their appearance.
Has a medium carbonation with a very soft, creamy mouthfeel, while adding a bubbly punch during the finish. Hop flavors explode on the palate, indicating a beer with a way higher abv than its actual 5.2, creating a fuller mouthfeel than expected.
Tastes of lime dipped white bread, with lemon developing more bitter and fruity during drinking, with malts staying at the same level, enabling a lime defined hop freshness, which remains focused throughout, while being far away from turning out one-dimensional. Its dankness adds a pine note to the fruits, which only leads to even further spreading, prickly lime, gently balanced by the malts, to remain the beers taste. Finishes with an intense, dry fruitiness among a soft aqueous minerality, and a touch of honey.
Great ipa, unexpectedly hoppy, beautifully composed. Has a remarkable hop profile, depth and intensity to it, which reminded me of the great New England ipas, bringing Euro IPAs to a whole new level to me.
