Sampling from a cold growler pour into my trusty beer mug. The beer pours a clear chestnut hue with several large streams of carbonation rising to the surface. A thin surface layer of khaki colored foam rests on the beer after the pour and remains for most of the sampling.
The aroma is some caramel and grainy malt with a bit of a nutty nose as well. I do get some spicy and leafy vegetal hops but also a bit of pine. Pretty nice balance on this beer.
The first sip reveals an average body with fine tingly carbonation that tickles across my palate with each sip.
Texture is smooth and this beer drinks very easy.
Flavor is some caramel and sweet malt with a bit of bready note and again some nutty flavor like an almond. THe beer finishes with some crisp bitey pine hop flavor that lingers after each swallow. The finish dries out my palate some and encourages me to take another sip.
No hint of any booze here, again making this an easy drinker.
Very nice amber ale from Firefly. Nice Job!

Draught @ Brewery: This one poured a clear amber color. It had a bit of an off-white head that left some lacing. It has a lighter nose. Some malts, as well as floral and piney hops. The taste is good. Balanced malts with faint pine and earthy hops. A hint of spice. Nice.

On tap at Prime 16 yesterday, poured a nice clear amber color with a decent head that left some lacing. Sweet aroma indicated a good amount of malts in this one, but there was some hops, as well. Nice balance in the flavor of sweet caramel malts. Back end had a nice hop kick to it, very leafy and earthy. Lighter than expected body and a good mouthfeel. Overall a solid Amber ale.

On tap at Firefly Hollow. Pours a brownish amber color with an inch of thick khaki head. Tons of lacing. The aroma is a nice fruity mix of grapefruit, melon and spicy hops. A bit dank. The taste is less fruity and more of the dank and spicy hops. Caramel malts and slightly earthy. Finishes with some grapefruit bitterness and spicy hops. Sweet. Medium bodied. Overall, solid hoppy Amber I'd grab again for sure.
