A deep, rich, and warming winter ale. Flavors of caramel and roast compliment a foundation of bready Munich and Pale malts. A touch of palisade hops provides a balancing bitterness and a flavor reminiscent of dried orange peel.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark copper color with a half inch of head that dissipates quickly. Good amount of lacing. Rich, creamy aroma of caramel, orange peel, vanilla, molasses, toffee and toasted malts. The taste is caramel, toffee, bread crusts, and light citrus hop notes. Slightly boozey. Caramel malts and toffee finish with some dried fruits. Malty. Creamy mouthfeel. Not a hopped up version of an Amber like most beers of this style are now. Overall, solid Imperial Amber I would buy again.

this beer pours great with nice red color you can't see through. nose is malt city with no hops to speak of. taste follows with red malt and more malt to finish. as the beer warms becomes slightly more sweet and overall is a decent Amber. I like a more hoppy approach. good for maltheads. not so much for hopheads

Served in a crystal snifter.
Chestnut colored with ruby highlights and a thick head of inch high foam that settles out slowly. Malty aroma, toasty and biscuity with bits of caramel.
Rich malty flavors full of caramel and toffee, lightly toasted grains. Hints of booziness with a slight warming. Notes of raisin in the finish. Evenly balanced hop bitterness, not a lot of hop flavor. FFH seems to have a talent for coaxing all the flavors out of their malts and letting them shine without overdoing it and this one is no exception. Full and even mouthfeel. Really well made and well balanced beer with a luxurious malty richness and a clean fermentation that some of the newer nanos seem to struggle with.

An odd beer for sure. Tasted well-made to me, but entirely out of balance. Biggest flaw was a very odd lingering bitterness on the back end. My first beer from Firefly Hollow and a disappointment for sure. Would not drink again.

L - pours an absolutely mouth-watering toffee caramel color. This is the real deal. Visions of Milky Way candy bars being broken in half and pulled apart like in the commercials flashed before my eyes. Not much head. Looks dangerous.
S - candy-coated bubblegum and the sweet dark fruits permeate. Caramel as well of course.
T - roasty, slightly hoppy, slightly bitter red ale. On the lighter side of caramel with metal and a slightly German twang? I'm getting nods to dunkels and the dark fruits of weizens. Has an extremely abrasive lingering bitterness that hits me hard way up in the gums behind my molars. Intense.
F - it wants to be syrupy but has a certain thinness to it. Not bad, but I want more cream.
O - awesome bottle art. This should probably go in the Looks category, but lazy. A hard-hitting beer that leaves no prisoners. Lacks balance, but is a fun beer.
