This was a deliciously tasty Scottish Ale. Poured from the tap at the brewery into a pint glass. Cream colored head dissipated quickly but left some decent lacing. The first taste is all about the smoke, but then the malty sweetness kicks in. According to the brewery there are six types of malts used in this beer, including a Scottish peat smoked malt, which gives the beer it's distinctive flavor. At 6.8% abv there is some kick to this beer, but the finish was smooth. If you aren't a fan of rauchbier you may want to skip this one, but I like that style so I enjoyed this Scottish Ale with a twist.

Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a clear amber color. There was a small off white head that left lots of lacing. It has a peaty, smokey and malty nose. The taste is good. Peaty, smokiness (but not too much) and malts. Well balanced. Nice.

Firefly has some good beer, but this didn't work for me. Flavor was dominated by liquid smoke and a little chemically for me. Unfortunately the smokiness is the dominate flavor.
