Bottle received as a gift from the fine folks at de heeren Van Liedekecke in Belgium. This is a Belgian Blond that was produced by Brouwerij Kerkom exclusively for the cafe (in 2006 I believe).
I brought it back from my recent trip to Belgium.
Sampled last night at beerloco's house.
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden with a 1 finger white crown that displays moderate retention and lace.
Smell: Belgian yeast, a hint of honey (probably from the 4 year old malt base), and herbal hops. These notes are very well integrated.
Taste: Same as the nose but less honey emphasis and way more hop focus! Pretty tasty.
Mouthfeel: Crips with good carbonation.
Drinkability: Fairly sessionable.
