Appearance is like black coffee with a medium brown head, low retention and no lacing. Smell is predominately dark chocolate, hints of molasses with some metallic notes. Taste follows nose with bitter dark choclate and coffee, but somewhat sweet overall with caramel and molasses notes. As it settles, there's hints of raisins and vague spicy/floral hops. Medium body with nice slightly-above-moderate carbonation. Overall it's good. The chocolate up front and hops in the fininsh do nicely, but the other malt flavors feel like they could use a bit more development.

Bomber poured into a snifter appears black in color with a dark khaki head.
It smells roasty with coffee, char and a pleasant earthiness.
This tastes earthy with coffee, raison and has a bit of a chocolate aftertaste.
This is light in body with modest carbonation. Overall pretty decent example of a porter from a place I never even heard of.

Very dark in color. very easy taste of chocolate and malts, virtually no hoppiness. Very tasty for the darker beer lovers. A great ale brewed in lower Alabama.
