Yes...this is a close to perfect small-batch IPA brewed by a well-versed brewer. I was lucky enough to be able to drink a few of these during a recent visit to the brewery deep in the wilds of Dothan, AL. Intriguing burnt-orange color and with a floral, pine and dry vinous flavor. Worth the 4 hour+ drive. The brewery staff extremely hospitable and friendly.

Picked this up a while ago while down in Dixie, as the bottom of the can read BEST BEFORE 6/6/18. Yeah, I took a while to get around to reviewing this on here but this beer held up well and was a surprisingly decent IPA for being from an area not known for them. If you like you beers full of citrus and heft, then this would certainly be up your alley!
Good pour to this as the dark, coppery hue was radiant around the edges and topped off with plenty of lively foam. Loads of soapy lacing coated the back of my pint glass as it was quite extensive and layered. Lots of orange blossom citrus, caramel malt, and metallic copper in the nose as the taste burst forth with these flavors. Some pine, deep floral notes, and darker malts came through in the taste once this warmed up but this was such a smooth sipper and went down easy that I couldn't help but remain surprised throughout my session!
Don't know the amount of booze present but it's in here and hard to pinpoint given that this was probably stronger than it was in actuality. Regardless, this was an IPA that would easily win people over and had more than enough going for it. Not on par with the best from the coasts but it's a legit player and fun to drink. Who could ask for more out of a 12 oz can?

Great Beer, unique and flavorful. Has a hint of grapefruit, if you like that fruit.
Surprisingly good for such a small brewery.
This is coming from a German, trust me....we know beer.
PS. Feel of a beer? What a stupid question, get rid of it. Also the look. Who cares about the look, has nothing to do with the taste

Pours much darker than you would expect with a small head and weak lacing. Has a pleasant smell with just a hint of citrus and pine. Tastes extremely smooth for an IPA. Heavy malts crush the hops and makes it less bitter than you want. Mouth feel is soft and easy to drink but at 7.5 ABV it will come back to haunt you. Overall I consider this a change of pace IPA and not for weekly consumption.

This is one of my favorites from Folklore. Its very citrusy and non-filling. The ABV isn't listed, so I'll go ahead and say its 7.5%. My first impression was the fact that the smell was great, then i took a sip and realized that it was very smooth and has a bitter aftertaste that's not rough. Try this one if you can!

The bright citrus aroma suggests grapefruit and tangerine and is a pleasant greeting with pine notes in the background. The clear amber color and bodacious legs appeal to an initiated palate. The body is light and the bitterness not harsh. This is a fine IPA and I salute Folklore Brewery in Dothan.
