Cool location since there's a pizza place in the same building and another brewery right across the street. I appreciated the fact that we could sit at this big u-shaped bar in the brewhouse area and enjoy a few beers and also order a really great fire oven pizza from right up the hallway and bring it back to the brewery. Nice symbiotic relationship between the two entities. I had the Maibock and thought it was very good. Worth checking out.

Located directly across from Zero Gravity, parking is at a premium. The taproom is located in the back of the building, the pizza place has a bigger crowd. U shaped bar and a few tables. Despite the parking issues, it's pretty tame on a Weds evening. 18 taps. Flights available. Quick service. Beer is so-so.

Small brewery located near wonderful Burlington VT. Selection and vibe needs to be upped. Between Queen City and Zero Gravity across the street, you’re all set.

Awesome spot in Burlington making mostly European style ales that were all excellent. It was a nice break from the heavily IPA saturated market of today's times. The waitstaff was awesome, they had some chips for sale but not much else other than the beer. Nice outdoor seating area as well as the large indoor bar. Great place for an "old school" style of brewing. Well worth the trip!

Really enjoyed our visit here! A very good selection of continental beers that offers a nice change of pace from some of the offerings down the road at BBCo and across the way at Zero Gravity. The crowd was a bit older than at those places or even Switchback, but that's no knock in my book. The attached pizza place also seemed very popular, though we did not partake. Several offerings are also available to go in six-packs, which is another big plus.

Came here with my wife and pups. Refreshing beer menu. No IPA'S, and I am an IPA lover. Just saying that because you get to taste some of the other great beer styles. Totally dog friendly. Dogs were allowed in the tastings room.

Checked this place out as part of a visit to Burlington this past July. I love British styles so I was excited to check out a place in Vermont that was making a bunch of them. The 4 beers in my flight were just ok, solidly made but nothing to go crazy over. The best one I tried was probably the Yorkshire Porter, which was good, but to put it in perspective I didn't buy any to take home.

As for the location itself, most of the public area is taken up by the bar with seating at the bar and some tables around it. A patio would have made it better.

Small place with a horseshoe bar, and some high top tables around it. Mostly leaning toward German styles when I was there. Bartender was friendly and the service was good. I was pretty pleased with their Helles lager and Vienna. I wasn't that taken with the smoked beer but I could see how it could be appreciated. They had a Wine Barrel Aged Barleywine that was nice as well. This was a place I could go and have a few pints!

it has taken me until now, which include dozens of burlington trips, to make it into this place, but finally i did. its cool for sure, older school than many in town, industrial looking from the outside but somewhat cozy inside, neatly adorned and with an angular multi-sided bar that can accommodate quite a few guests. its cool and they have a nice mix of german and english beers mostly, but a couple of wild ones to my surprise as well. service was fine, prompt and efficient but not real engaging. we sat outside on a small patio in some iron type patio furniture and enjoyed the late afternoon sun. its was mellow and fun, and the beers we had were great. i really enjoyed a classically styled esb, was impressed with the authenticity of their helles lager, but was most stoked on a wine barrel aged saison fermented with brett, i had no idea these guys did that sort of thing, as its rather divergent from the rest of their lineup, but it was amazing, woody, funky, mature, fizzy, everything i want in the style, cool bottles too! overall we had a great time here, the beer was really good, especially for how infrequently it seems to get talked about, and the prices were super fair. right across the street from zero gravity too, a nice little double dip for a sunday afternoon!

They have an absolutely excellent vibe of low key music, a lovely looking bar area of a fashionable old looking wood counter. Nice and spacious, well lit, extremely clean. Service keeps up with the crowd.

Lilian does an exceptional job of brewing true to style traditional ales and lagers. Her and her crew are out to brew well made ales and lagers to not necessarily impress the entire world but to offer something a bit different than most in Vermont might not be used to. I gotta admit, it's a "breath of fresh air" in the fact that they stray from all of the "hoppy" offerings one normally finds in the state of Vermont. And that's exactly what I love about this place. Please don't go in here looking for extremely hopped IPA's, porters or stouts or any ale or lager for that matter.

Decent spot. Larger than expected selection and a couple beers were pretty good, the bartender seemed annoyed we were ordering flights and a lot of beers. Least favorite vibe and service of the Burlington breweries.

Queen City Brewery

So I enjoyed my first visit to Queen City, but let's face it, it's just a bar set up in front of a brewery - it's a tasting room. The food is limited, and it's comfortable, but it's not a bar. (You can bring your own food in which is nice). What I did enjoy was that the bartender was friendly and energetic, and that there were plenty of other "beer people" there, mainly tourists like my wife and myself who were on their own brewery tours.

That's not to say that it's not a good stop, because it is, and you might be able to sample a beer that you can't find elsewhere; and you can pick up bottles at the same price you'll find them elsewhere, so why not support the brewery?

As to the beer (although the pretzels did look good!), I'm a big fan of English, German, and Belgian styles - which I think is everything that they do. They're the basic, solid styles without any weirdness thrown in (i.e. no sour barleywine with avocodo and habanero).

One thing to note is that they're closed on Mondays, and Zero Gravity across the street is closed on Tuesday, so if you want to hit both it'll have to be Wednesday through Sunday - although I'll very heartily recommend that you give each their own day as there's too much good beer for them to all be done at once (I'm also thinking that Switchback is really not that far around the corner... close enough that you could walk).

Smallish tap room with a U shaped bar flanked by brewing equipment. I really liked the wall of old school cans and the carry-trays up near the ceiling. Service was very helpful and friendly. About 9 beers on tap and a couple of those were tasty and benchmark for the style (Hefeweizen and Oatmeal Stout). I also liked the Dunkel Lager but wasn't too impressed with the Vienna.

I think these guys really try to adhere to the traditional methods of making these European styles, and they do a pretty good job of doing it. Go for the flight first to know which one you like best, as a few are kind of meh. Worth a stop before going down to Fiddlehead if you aren't in dire need of hoppy beer.
