2016 release, poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is oily thick and jet black, with a low profile, foamy, light tan head. Aromas of rich bourbon, vanilla, molasses, brown sugar, chocolate, and subtle hints of coffee. Wow, does this smell amazing! Flavors are rich milk chocolate and bourbon forward, a perfect blend and balance of sweetness, booze heat, and bourbon spice. Accents of coffee and vanilla cream add dynamic to the rich palate. Smooth, soft, and chewy in mouth, with a boozy chocolate aftertaste. The finish is velvety smooth, creamy, and slow. Good bourbon and chocolate linger. Really solid beer.
