Apparently it's "Premium". Found in Lidl...let's hope. Brewed by someone who I never heard of in Romania, but the name sounds German. Interesting...
Very foamy appearence, not many bubbles. Good head level. Typical pilsner colour, there is not much more to write.
Aroma is very German style. But kind of foamy.
After my last few Lidl bought United Romanian beers, this is amazing. Really amazing. Everything about the bottle looks German, and it's even written in German...but it's not German. It's Romanian. I have no idea why Romania loves Germany so much,
Head stays alive for a long time, which is impressive. But a very watery taste. Not much hops and definitely not much malt. But well balanced at least. Perfect instead of water for a hot day. But not perfect instead of an actual German pilsner.
Drinkable...but fairly terrible, even considering the Lidl price.

From 2.5 liter PET bottle. Crystal clear pale gold color with rocky, white head. Aroma is mostly grainy with sweet malt and a hint of fusel alcohol. Taste is also grainy, quite bitter and astringent up-front with a dry cardboard finish. Light to medium body, medium plus carbonation. It is what you would expect it to be, an industrial lager.

"Albacher Premium."/"Albacher Original Premium." 4.8% ABV. 2.5 litre brown plastic bottle with branded plastic screw-top acquired at a Shop and Go supermarket in Bucharest and served cold into an unbranded bierkrug there. Reviewed live. Expectations are low given the bottle format.
Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: Two fingers in width. Recedes fully within 2 minutes, leaving no lacing.
BODY: Clear pale yellow. Clean; no yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.
Appears adequately carbonated. Far from unique or special.
AROMA: Fresh pils malts, helles malts, and clean barley.
Average quality for the style. Average in terms of strength.
TASTE: Pils malts, helles malts, and fairly fresh barley. Simple and reticent. Generic.
Average duration and intensity of flavour. Largely unbalanced. Not a gestalt build, but a cohesive one.
No yeast character, alcohol, or other off-notes come through.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, fairly refreshing, somewhat thick, and light-bodied. Not too syrupy. This texture suits the taste okay. Overcarbonated.
OVERALL: Drinkable, sure. I've had worse supermarket high-volume packaged beers, but this is by no means good. Would make a decent beer pong beer, if that's your scene. Hides its ABV decently.
