Third of three beers beers tried at Fixture on 10/29/13.
After being quite disappointed in the 'Sha Shank Stout and Fox River Red, I didn't have high expectations for this brew. As things turned out, it was the best of the bunch.
Pours a very haze reddish gold, a bizarre color for a hefe.
Smell is minimal banana, not much else.
Taste is okay, light banana notes, no clove (a big plus for me), and not much else. Fans of traditional hefeweizens will not care for this.
Mouthfeel - There is something wrong with all their beers, they produce a burning feeling in the throat.
Overall - Not bad, but not really good either. I will return to Fixture only because this was their first batch of brews. I'll give them a little time to get dialed in, but they really have a long way to go.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
